“Training as an MBTI (Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner Level 1 and 2 was for me a natural progression from what I had been doing for a long time.
For many years I had given career advice to young adults. This interest started in earnest for me when I was organising courses for 14year olds at Imperial College London, to help them decide which A levels they wished to take. Here is a link to a paper describing those sessions and a research school I instigated for 16year olds: Report on “Educational Experiment” at Imperial College ... This initiative received funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Council (EPSRC).
Later I was involved with the then Teacher Training Association to help teachers cater for STEM subjects.
I find using the MBTI framework not only helps clarify career choices but can also assist a person in many other ways as well. So, I started this new initiative knowing that many young people will find a knowledge of their Personality Type useful in daily life and helpful in choosing a suitable career that will serve them well for the rest of their life. Put simply, if you love what you are doing then you are likely to be a happy person!"
